One aspect of the development of a compliance programme is having an understanding of the risks that need to be managed in the organisation. Without an understanding of the risks and the risk profile of the organisation, it would be impossible to build compliance programmes that are integrated into the business and add value. Our risk identification services help clients understand where where in the organisation their risks lie, help with prioritisation, and support the development of a risk profile, risk appetite and practices to help implement compliance programmes to manage those important risks.
 
Our risk identification practice was developed for a number of reasons:
  • To help clients identify compliance risks
  • To ensure that those risks are prioritised correctly in accordance with the level of risk, the risk profile of the company, the board’s risk appetite and the business objectives of the company
  • To eliminate risks when you operate using full- and part-time compliance resources, many of which do not report to you or your compliance department, and those resources are unclear on their priorities
  • To implement a methodology for regularly reviewing and managing risk.
